I WENT GLUTEN-FREE IN 4TH GRADE AFTER BEING DIAGNOSED WITH CELIAC. WHEN I WENT THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE, I WATCHED MY FRIENDS ENJOY BEERS AND DEBATE MICROBREWS WITH JEALOUSY. I FOUND OMISSION AT A GLUTEN-FREE RESTAURANT IN PORTLAND, OR, AND HAVE NEVER LOOKED BACK. THANKS FOR LETTING ME FEEL NORMAL!
Liz B from Plainville, MA, Gluten-Free for 1 Month
recently gluten free and invited out with friends to a celtics game. I was so excited to see a gluten-free beer on the menu at tD Garden! didn't know what to expect, but couldn't believe how great omissions tasted. Will be permanently stocked in my fridge(s)!
Maria C from Independence, CA, Gluten-Free for 7 Months
I thought I would miss pasta most after my celiac diagnosis. Not so. Being a former portlander, it was beer. sweet beer. I will confess, there is one other i love as well. it is made in belgium. yours and theirs. my heart is swollen with feelings of gratitude. my belly is not.
Cass G from Greenville , SC
After 8 weeks gluten free, I stopped missing the breads, the cookies, the cakes.... but the craving for a good beer was harder to shake. I knew if i was going to fail, it would be due to beer. Every g/f beer I tried tasted like apple cider vinegar. then I tried omission and now I know I can give up wheat for good. Your lager is awesome, your pale ale is great. thank you, thank you, thank you!
Kevin T from Langley, WA
here in canada we take beer pretty seriously. this is greAT BEER, PERIOD. WHEN i DRINK IT I DON'T GET A BLOATED, PAINFUL STOMACH WHICH IS CERTAINLY A PLUS. kEEP THAT STUFF COMING TO CANADA!!!!!
Mike Z from City, OH
i just want to keep this short, sweet, and simple. You guys brew a great beer! keep up the great work.
Liz B from Austin, TX
Always a beer lover. gluten makes me ill, as did all of the gluten free beer i have treid in the past five years - until omission!!!! it actually tastes like beer. good beer. and after 5 loooong years without beer, i am extremely excited to have a beer!!!!!!! beer. beer. beer. i am welcoming beer back into my life. hi, beer!
JOHN W from South, NJ
I love beer, but my stomach was telling (screaming) at me to stop drinking it. For two weeks I have had exclusively Omission. My calm, silent, happy stomach reaches for omission in the beer store, I am sold
ERik A from Cherry valley, IL, Gluten-Free for 2 Years
home-made gluten-free pizza (with a bottle of omission in the crust!), an ice cold omission beer, and the walking dead. does life get any better than this!?!?
Jeff L from City, CA, Gluten-Free for 7 Years
I have missed beer, real beer, with flavor and everything. Over seven years ago I left that tearfully behind to cut gluten. Cheers to the Sorghum beers that have held me for the meanwhile, they've been good to me. But now, there is real beer, the beer I remember only without the allergy. Thanks doesn't cover it, and now that there are options, sorghum won't cut it.
Jamison H from Omaha, NE, Gluten-Free for 4 Months
I have tried every gluten free beer out there, and they taste horrible. After I had my first sip of OMission the heavens opened up and I was a convert. "My wife tried it and was like are you sure that doesnt have gluten in it!"
Rob B from Norwalk, CT
i'M NOT ALLERGIC TO GLUTEN BUT i AM INTERESTED IN CONTROLLING MY INTAKE OF IT. aLSO, i'M A HOMEBREWER AND i HAVE A DEGREE IN DIETETICS; ALWAYS LOOKING TO LEARN SOMETHING NEW AND PROVIDE BEER THAT IS TOLERABLE BY EVERYONE. tHIS IS, BY FAR, THE BEST ipa i'VE HAD IN A LONG TIME. i'D LOVE TO KNOW HOW TO MAKE GLUTEN FREE BEER AND CAN'T WAIT TO TRY THE OTHER OMISSION STYLES.
Danielle R from Bloomington, IN, Gluten-Free for 2 Years
craft beer is a huge part of the culture in Bloomington, IN, and Being a beer-lover myself, my celiac disease diagnosis 2 years ago was a shock. The first question I asked my doctor is "are gluten-free beers any good?" He said "No, not really." 1 Year after trying all sorts of (Terrible) gf beers, I found Omission at a health food store, gave it a try, and now it is my go-to beer. It is amazing! I cannot thank Omission enough for making this transition 1 million times easier.
Isla LAST INITIAL from Sf, CA, Gluten-Free for 3 Years
This is the most incredible GF beer I have ever had, it tastes so good, unlike every other one I have ever tried! Now all I need is for you to launch this beer (or ship it to) London, UK - where I live most of the time. Drinking this twice a year in the US is NOT ENOUGH!!
michael GALLAGHER from Jenkintown, PA, Gluten-Free for 3 Years
There is A god and it loves beer. After being diagnosed, and learning I could not drink beer, quite frankly sucked. I tried experiment with the clear liquids, and from what I am told they did not end well….I had all but given up on beer, that is until my home away from home (I lived in Portland for most of my 20s) sent my a miracle from the Pacific Northwest. After my first sip of the Pale Ale, and I was sure I would be running to the bathroom soon. I could not believe how good, and how much like beer it tasted. I even had my gluten loving friend try, and they thought I was full of “it.” My Pray have been answered, Thank You Omission, Thank you very much….
Ann Marie M from Newark, DE, Gluten-Free for 8 Years
My "o" moment: in an airstream with my husband in a koa campground in salt lake city, utah. over the course of a 6700-mile road trip adventure, my husband had the mission of tasting local/regional beers. on a walk to find polygamy porter for himself (take some home to the wives!), he found omission pale ale for me. i'm a very lucky woman. cheers to the scientists and magicians that make this gf beer so delicious!
Serita W from Colorado springs, CO, Gluten-Free for 14 Days
I was so grateful to find a gluten-free beer that tasted as good as the real thing. no, wait... it was even better! Thank you!
kelly N from Santa cruz, CA, Gluten-Free for 10 Months
I was diagnosed with celiac disease 10 months ago. I have been cranky ever since. Sorghum beer tastes like dirty sweat socks. i was in a restaurant in eugene complaining about a water-downed margarita. the waitress suggested a beer instead. i thought she was just being mean. but, then she brought me an omission. it was terrific! i immediately went to the grocery store and stocked up...especially the IPA. AMAZING! now i can sit on the patio and have a beer just like everyone else. my mood is vastly improving thanks to you guys. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Arielle G from Brooklyn, NY, Gluten-Free for 1 Year
I found this beer at a local beer boutique that specializes in craft beers and growlers. I went in there thinking there wasn't anything for my poor gluten free self in such a beautiful beer store. but alas, i found omission lager and pale ale in a dedicated gluten free beer section! it's been a total game changer for me and now i feel like i can finally kick back with a cold brew at the end of the day. i have had friends that are not gluten free try the beer and they are equally impressed! keep up the good work! :)
Catelyn D from Fort worth, TX, Gluten-Free for 16 Days
My husband brews beer as a hobby, and after finding out sixteen days ago that I have celiac disease, he was so supportive but also heartbroken that we couldn't share and explore beer in the same way again. We soon discovered Omission beer, and we could not be more thankful! Not only is it amazing beer, but it's been so encouraging to know that I can still share something so important with my family!
Gene C from Readfield , ME, Gluten-Free for 18 Years
Was gluten intolerant for 12 years, none of my providers were Celiac aware. My wife is a new physician and after her GI clinical rotations immediately diagnosed me with Full blown Celiac disease. Had been beer free for 6 years, hated the taste of other G Free beers so I abstained. Wife came home one day with a six pack of Lager from Omission and had just finished mowing the lawn on a hot summer day, needless to say, after my omission epiphone, I consumed all 6 brews with passion and zest. Thank you omission for a delicious g free beer that even my non- celiac friends enjoy as well, unfortunately!
Andy W from Washington, DC, Gluten-Free for 2 Years
I have been gluten free out of necessity. I missed beer more than anything. Your IPA has renewed my faith in humanity. Hop Heaven in my mouth.
Ben A from Fort thomas, KY, Gluten-Free for 3 Years
To have regular tasting beer in my life again is beyond words. I thought it was gone for good. Of the several barley-based GF beers i've tasted, OMISSION is far and away the best! thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
Ted B from Guerneville, CA, Gluten-Free for 3 Months
I knew I was on a the right track when I first opened one of your beers and there was a flying saucer on the underside of the cap. I am a artist and have been suffering from gut issues for the last 4 years. I have finally gone gluten free with great success, but most of the beer I have found taste awful. Omission taste great!
John W from St. john's (nl, canada!), FL, Gluten-Free for 2 Years
I AM A FORMER BEER LOVER WHO HAS BEEN SUFFERING THROUGH MOST GLUTEN FREE OFFERINGS...wAS RECENTLY DOWN IN THE STATES ON HOLIDAY... WE'VE GOT SOME GLUTEN FREE BEER BACK HOME, BUT NOTHING COMPARED TO THE AWESOME TASTE OF THE LAGER & PALE ALE. MISS IT ALREADY!!
james B from Ithaca, NY, Gluten-Free for 5 Years
diagnosed gluten intolerant 7 years ago. gluten seriously enflames my joints and muscles.. so much so i threw my back out "stretching" on vacation in florida just from drinking beers.. i had forgotten barley had gluten. "thank you!! sooo much!" it sounds cliched but you didnt just make a "real" gluten free beer you made two excellent!! craft beers. THANK you
Sean B from Ithaca, NY, Gluten-Free for 2 Months
I recently gave up pasta and bread, and since that was pretty much the only source of gluten I was getting, I figured why not try gluten-free and see if my health improves. Now thanks to your Pale Ale (awesome), I don't have to feel like I'm sacrificing anything. Just nice to know that even if it turns out I'm not sensitive to gluten I still have awesome beer to drink during the experiment! Thanks, and keep it flowing to Ithaca! And when are we gonna get the IPA here at Wegmans? :D
Becky C from Renton, WA, Gluten-Free for 1 Year
It's been just under a year now that I have had to give up great tasting brews becasue of celiac disease... thankfully a very knowledgeable beer store employee introduced me to omission!! i had tried everything else in the store and they were horrible, i was just getting ready to switch to cider! i come from a long time family of home brewers and it was painful to not be able to enjoy something i have loved for so long!! thank you for much for brewing something that is not only palatable, but as good as any of the other lagers and ipa's out there.
pete B from Belgrade, AL, Gluten-Free for 8 Years
I guess the word is...Wow! I just had my first (& 2nd,3rd,4th) pale ale in almost 8 years. (my last taste was a mouthful of mirror pond in 2005, when i was getting sick) Thank you. over the years, i have learned to enjoy the other gf beers, but something was always missing. That crisp bite of real beer is something you don't know, unless you have gone without. I like my cactus squeezings and fermented cane juice, but having a 'real' beer.....
Matt P from San diego, CA, Gluten-Free for 3 Years
So it's saturday night and per the usual I get a call to meet up with friends for drinks. low and behold they want to meet at a brewery. being gluten free, this has always been a huge let down a) because i love beer but can't drink it, and B) I usually have to end up drinking the crappy wine they have on hand. So I am complaining about this to a friend at the bar the bar keep says, we have a gluten free beer (mouth drops open, but very skeptical of it actually tasting like beer). Long story short, the skies parted, the angels sang, and for the first time in 3 years I got to have the sweet crisp taste of beer on my lips. thank you o-mission!
Hali R from Auburn, ME, Gluten-Free for 3 Years
Gluten Free for 3 years. This is simply amazing. I cannot believe how great this tastes. Best find ever!!! Thank you SOOOO much!!!
Kiki B from Santa monica, CA, Gluten-Free for 1 Year
I'm enjoying your pale ale right now - I wouldn't know there's anything "missing" if the label didn't say so! when will your ipa be available outside of OR???
Tom M from Danvers, MA, Gluten-Free for 2 Months
I haven't been de-glutenized for very long, but I'd buy any gluten free beer in any store to give it a try, mostly DISAPPOINTING to disgusting. was starting to buy wine because all the beer was awful! Then by chance I found this, didn't have high hopes, but "o"mg! real beer! thank you!!!!!
Deb D from La honda, CA, Gluten-Free for 1 Year
I’ve been gluten free for several years. A couple of years ago, my husband and I met our daughter and son and a few of their friends, all in their 20’s, at the Haight Street Fair in San Francisco. It was a beautiful, hot day and we were thirsty. The fair was very crowded, and people were walking around the fair holding cups of beer that looked really refreshing. I went into Rainbow Market to see if they carried any gf beers and discovered one that I hadn’t seen before - Omission Lager. I purchased a six pack and the non gf friends loved it too. We went back and purchased the last pack on the shelf. Since then, Omission has been our go-to beer. I really like the pale ale and my boys prefer the lager. We are thrilled that we can find it in more stores now. Thank you Widmer Brothers Brewing!
Kristi C from Chicago, IL, Gluten-Free for 3 Years
I love beer. love it! when I was diagnosed with a gluten SENSITIVITY i was sure to be doomed to a beer free life. I've tried other gf beers and had yet to try one that reminded me of the beer i used to enjoy. Lucky for me, my husband loves beer too and brought home a 6 pack of omission beer last week. Wow! i loved it and am now so excited to have this beer in my fridge. Thank you so much! and keep up the great work!
claudia K from Pittsburgh, PA, Gluten-Free for 4 Months
I love beer. four months ago I was diagnosed with celiac. the gf beers i've tried were okay but not like beer made from barley..just not the same. my dear husband would not give up the hunt on my behalf. our neighborhood beer distributor introduced us to "O" yesterday and it was magic. real gf beer at last.
Evan S from Los angeles, CA, Gluten-Free for 5 Years
Most Gluten free Beers just play lip service to the craft but you guys are really making something special. Thanks for taking the time to care!
JAMES L from Roseville, CA, Gluten-Free for 2 Years
Tried this Omission stuff out not expecting much. My wife has gluten issues so I am the taste tester. I have to admit that the IPA wasn't bad, OH and my wife loveS it too. I myself do not have issues with gluten but I would buy again if I was on a date with my wife AND WE BOTH WANTED TO THROW A FEW BACK. Thanks JAMES
Suzanne D from Portsmouth, NH, Gluten-Free for 12 Years
I am a beer snob from way back, and I mean Waaaaaay back, like high school. While many of my friends drank the insipid domestic 'beers', I only drank whatever foreign beer I could find, mostly canadian in the late 70's here in the northeast. I was truly in heaven when I went to the UK for the first time after college and had a 'black and TAn'. An 'O' moment for sure. Then, at the age of 39, discovered that I had celiac disease. What?! No more bread, pasta, rolls, and...no more BEER??!! THAT was Almost 12 years ago. Like so many others, I had tried all the GF imitators. Then, this summer, while in Costa Rica with a group of teachers, lamenting the fact that I couldn't try the delicious looking local lager a friend was drinking, he mentioned Omission...Not 48 hours after returning I had an 'o moment' with my first Omission lager. Muchas Gracias. Salud! : )
Foster P from Inverness, FL, Gluten-Free for 1 Year
Gluten-free for 1 year. cold turkey on all my beloved food, which was easy because you do what you have to. beer was the only regret. tried all the others and finally discovered omission. thank you so much for making this beer. a great replacement for sam adams. i feel like i can handle the diet restrictions -- with omission.
Michele M from San francisco, CA, Gluten-Free for 6 Months
Finally a Gluten free IPA! This is good beer, not just tolerable. I hope Omission has a porter or stout on the drawing board...
Patrick F from South glens falls, NY, Gluten-Free for 7 Months
I was just deamed a gluten free person and let me tell you it's not easy. you have to watch everything you touch. i am a camper and love to have a few beers at the camp. the sorghum beers are ok when you have nothing else. THen i discovered your omission beer thru a co-worker recomendation. "omg" ....the clouds have parted and the sun is shining again on my parade. thank you so much. i have only tried the lager so far but, it is great to taste beer again. thanks.
Keeley M from Ithaca, NY, Gluten-Free for 1 Year
I almost cringed at the first sip of your delicious beer because I've come to associate good beer with pain. I was thrilled When no digestive distress occurred. THANK YOU!!!
Paige P from Sonoma, CA, Gluten-Free for 3 Years
My prayers have been answered. My Jaw dropped when my Roommate came home last week with your brand new IPA!!!! We have instituted a new time zone in our house: Beer o'clock. IPA is my favorite favorite beer - and I live just 20 minutes from the brewery that makes Lagunitas ipa which I haven't been able to have for three years. life just got a little more abundant. Thanks you guys! Keep up the great work. We are rooting for you!
Chris W from St. louis, MO, Gluten-Free for 7 Years
the worst thing about being diagnosed with Celiac Disease (with DH) was not so much that I had to give up beer, but that EVERY GF beer I tried (and I tried 'em all) Sucked--to the point that I simply gave up. As a lifelong beer lover, drinking stuff that vaguely looked/tasted like beer was anathema. When you know how good beers taste, it made it all the more depressing. I resigned myself to having to "remember" what real beer tasted like...until I heard about Omission. I can't begin to tell you what it was like to actually taste a REAl lager beer again! I can't thank you enough for creating these beers. While I'm happy to have a lager beer again...could you consider doing a hefeweizen? ;)
Nikki A from Watertown, MA, Gluten-Free for 3 Years
After having spent so much money trying out bad gluten free beer, I decided to try just one more. Thank God that I did!!! After one sip I could tell, It's real beer. I immediately texted all my GF friends to let them know the search is over. Do you think I'm being dramatic? Well let me tell you, it's been 3 sad, sad, summers with no beer. No more! thank you Omission for saving the day!!!
Matt B from Rye, NH, Gluten-Free for 4 Years
I CONVINCED MYSELF THAT I LIKED GLUTEN FREE BEERS, BUT FOUND MYSELF DRINKING WINE INSTEAD. i HATE WINE! nOW I CAN FINALLY DRINK BEER AGAIN, O THANKYOU, OMISSION!
Holly H from Austin, TX, Gluten-Free for 4 Months
thank you!!!! my body recently forced me to give up gluten. i can live without cake and bread, but i can't stop dreaming of beer. tonight, instead of popping champagne for a celebration, i tried omission lager. yes, i had an "o" moment. best. celebration. ever. i'm crying tears of joy into my delicious beer sans gluten. hope to see it in bars, too!!!
Gary K from Gainesville, FL
I like to try new and different Microbrewery beers and I just purchased your Lager beer and WOW did you guys get it right!!! I can't wait to try your other brews! Keep up the Brewin'!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Over the past few months I have tried many g-Free "Beers" and cannot say I much enjoyed them. I had Nearly succumbed to a fate of vodka&Club when I saw omission pale ale and decided to try it out. A god send for g-Free people who love beer.
Holly LAST INITIAL from Portland, OR
I've adored your GF beers ever since I discovered them. i've been off gluten for 6 years and have suffered a lot of mediocre beer. Nevermore! Just saw you released an ipa, rushed to zupans immediately and am loving it. thank you so much!

Theresa B from Ithaca, NY, Gluten-Free for 6 Months
I was playing in my first hockey tournament since going gluten free, And was bummed i would miss out on a post-game celebratory beer with my mates. A friend of mine bought this for me. I had tried a different brand before, so I was so surprised at how wonderful it was! I felt bad for the players that just had the regular gluten keg beer! I will be enjoying your beer all summer! Thanks, you're awesome!
Chris G from Fairfax, CA, Gluten-Free for 13 Years
I LOVE you guys for making this beer--my greatest sadness at learning I was celiac was giving up my beer. Now I can enjoy the Giants as nature intended--with a toothsome brewski in my paw! The price is right, and this stuff really cuts the dust. Thanks!
Cash P from Los angeles, CA, Gluten-Free for 2 Years
Before Celiac diagnoses, one of my favorite meals was a Vindaloo (or any curry dish reallY) washed down with a nice IPA. The combo is awesome, you should try it. Anyway, since I've had to go GF, I can find or make any curry dish around, but its just not the same without the ale.... Until now!!! Omission Pale Ale rocks
Valerie H from Lehi, UT
i'M LUCKY I HAVE A FRIEND AT THE LIQUOR STORE WHO ALSO ADHERES TO A GLUTEN-FREE DIET, SO SHE TOLD ME ABOUT THIS BEER BUT HADN'T TRIED IT HERSELF. THERE WAS NO 'GLUTEN-FREE' INDICATION ON THE PACKAGING, SO i HAD TO COME HOME AND GOOGLE BEFORE I DARED TRY IT. AFTER READING ABOUT YOUR BEERS, I POPPED OPEN THE LAGER.. AND.... OHHHHH MYYYYY!! IT'S THE BEST BEER I'VE HAD SINCE I LEARNED I HAD CELIACS A DOZEN YEARS AGO. I ALSO TRIED THE PALE ALE... STRONGER AND MORE 'ALE-ISH', BUT VERY GOOD AS WELL! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BREWING!! CHEERS!
Brian V from Minneapolis, MN
SInce going gluten free, I miss microbrews, handcrafted beers, especially the pale ales! I settled for gluten free "almost Beer". The Omission pale ale was so good, I asked the waiter to double check if it was gluten free. WOW! Great beer. Thanks!
Mary Ellen O from Palmer, AK, Gluten-Free for 1 Year
"Thank you Thank you Thank you!" That's what I thought as i just tried my first bottle of your Pale ale. Love Beer - have been getting one (yep - gluten-free - celiac disease)that was pretty good, and had decided i should be thankful that it at least resembled beer. i'm an instant convert - this is really great beer.
Barb S from Concord, NH, Gluten-Free for 7 Years
Thank you! I had given up.
Steven T from Seattle, WA, Gluten-Free for 3 Years

Who knew I could get so excited over an Omission? I found out that I am allergic to wheat after Many years of migraines and finally a week of hives. Beer was no longer enjoyable. today i bought a six pack of pale ale. wonderful taste. no fear of side effects. thank you soooooo much. (also, love the grapefruit aftertaste.) Cindy

Josh S from Aloha, OR
I love beer! i love it. but, most of time it wouldn't love my stomach at all... leaving a wrenching feeling, that i though i had to deal with as the price for enjoying a tasy beverage. i was completly surprised by omissions great taste. as fine as amy microbrew i've ever had, and believe you me... i've tried a lot! with Omission, i can enjoy beer again. thank you!!! long live portland, oregon!!!
Bob P from Boston, MA, Gluten-Free for 2 Years

i HAD BEEN A BEER AFICIONADO MOST OF MY LIFE. wHEN i WOULD GO TO RESTUARANTS, RATHER THAN HAVE THE WAITER GO THROUGH THE LIST, i'D JUST SAY, "bRING ME THE DARKEST BEER YOU HAVE". i HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH CELIAC AND GIVING UP MY BEER WAS THE HARDEST THING i HAD TO DO. oMISSION BEERS HAVE BROUGHT MUCH HAPPINESS BACK TO MY LIFE. tHANK YOU.

I've tried them all, GF beers that is. It a bummer to buy bad gf beer. Came across the u.s.,from ca to nc, to experience My "O" moment. it ROCKED my world! this is a true pale ale! How do they do it?! subtle & perfect bit of sweet paired with just the right & kind bitter; It's a rediculous & good finish. Thanks to my friend brian (who stocks the best gf beer) for putting OMission on my radar! I'm just sorry it's taken this long to finally be able to enjoy an epic brewsky :) A very big THank YOu "o" peeps!!
Sarah W from Cornelius, NC, Gluten-Free for 4 Years
A couple of my non-gluten-free friends actually recommended this beer to me. Found it in the grocery store, bought it, liked it. Thanks for making a great traditional beer!!
Cheryl M from Seattle, WA
I just tried the Pale Ale. It's so tasty like any really fine craft beer should be, but it doesn't leave me with that heavy, yucky feeling afterwards. I suspected it was the wheat! Thanks
Michelle J from City, ID, Gluten-Free for 2 Months
I'm gluten intolerant & have went gluten free. Was missing beer & tried omission pale ale.. it's excellent!! I'm not missing any flavor.. I'm soo thankful!!
Chuck S from Harrisburg, PA , Gluten-Free for 8 Months
I thought I would never Find a gluten free beer worth drinking. i tried quite a few but found nothing that tasted like actual beer. A friend brought a six pack of pale ale back from a trip out west and the best part was that i was able to purchase it locally! i've been hooked ever since. The lager is excellent as well. Thanks and keep up the great work.
John P from Puyallup, WA
I actually just picked up Omission because I was looking for a good Lager and like Widmer. I was wondering why they were packaged different but was in a hurry and didn't think too much about it. It wasn't until I tried it and really liked it that I looked up what the deal was. I was shocked it was brewed any different. I'll buy it again just because I like the taste.
Cher K from Brillion, WI, Gluten-Free for 4 Months
I have been searching for a Gluten free beer that tasted like... well...real beer. We stopped at a liquor store in appleton that we had never been to before searching for something different. the clerk pointed out the usual sorghum gf beers & said Omission was gluten free also. I purchased it & when i got home i tried it right away. I gulped down a swallows. it tasted soooo good. i looked at the label & the carton & didn't see anything about being gluten free so i yelled to my husband, "this isn't gluten free. it tastes too good." then i worried that i'd start reacting to the beer. i was so relieved when i looked at your website & saw it is gluten free. yeah!!!! i am so happy!!! your beer is fantastic. now if only i can find it at a closer location. i plan to recommend this beer to my gf relatives and friends. thanks so much!
anna P from Minneapolis, MN, Gluten-Free for 2 Years
i was diagnosed with celiac disease two years ago. this october i was a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding. her father just found out he is gluten intolerant. in addition to gluten free food galore, my friends also provided us with our own stash of omission! woo hoo!

Beer sustains me. I come from a lineage of beer enthusiasts, and was raised to love only the best quality, handcrafted beer. I also lived in Germany for a few years, thus increasing my snobbishness. A few years ago, the curse of gluten intolerance befell me, and my first reaction was about the possibility of losing beer. Since I don't technically have celiac's, I've been 99% GF with the exception of beer, up until the last 6 months or so. I've been drinking beer despite the gluten intolerance because I've always figured it's better to suffer having consumed lots of delicious beer than to live without it, but lately my body has caught onto the trick and decided that it can't tolerate more than a miniscule amount. Right on time, I found O Mission at a quirky little beer joint in Bellingham, Wa. So much better than any of the other GF kinds i've tried! Thank you, O, for saving those of us who are not GF by choice and still want a real, solid, drinkable, non-poser beer that doesn't have a weird after taste!
Dave D from Homer, AK, Gluten-Free for 3 Years
when i found out about having to be gf, i almost cried, not because of the foods but because of beer. being a celiac is not fun at first so i tried some sorghum beers and they were ok. my beer guy told me about the "o" and i never looked back. now when i can get my hands on it, it is all i drink. Thanks guys.
Nev L from Portland, ME, Gluten-Free for 2 Years

Dan H from Minneapolis, MN, Gluten-Free for 1 Year
I've recently adopted a GF lifestyle due to gluten sensitivity. During Thanksgiving my brother in law brought a 6er of Omission Pale Ale and told me about the traditional brewing process and how great it tastes. He was kind enough to share with me and now I am hooked. Very thankful to once again enjoy beer and feel good after drinking it!

WE LIVE IN BREW HEAVEN (BEND, or). i WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT GIVING UP OUR LOCAL WONDERFUL BREWS AND MY HUSBAND BROUGHT ME HOME THIS LOVELY SURPRISE. I COULDN'T WAIT TO TELL MY SON WHO IS ALSO GLUTEN FREE. THANK YOU FOR THIS DELICIOUS BEER.
Laura G from East hartford, CT, Gluten-Free for 1 Year
I read the book "Wheat Belly" and became convinced to remove wheat from my diet completely. I am a beer lover, so the next thing I did was do some online research and locate some of your delicious pale ale. Thank you for your wonderful beer.
G.R. N from Ft collins, CO, Gluten-Free for 12 Years
I have tasted every gluten free beer i can find in the past 12 years and the majority of them are un-drinkable. Omission is the best GF beer i have ever had and reminds me of the taste of true beer that i had figured i would never enjoy again-love your beer
joy C from Portland, OR, Gluten-Free for 10 Years
when i quit gluten at my naturopath's orders (based on a reliable test), my body quit aching. i felt so much better! but at the time i owned a beer store and it was tough. in the back of my mind, i always wished the widmer brothers would do something. i figured if anyone could do it, they could. and then they did. my dream was answered. i can drink beer now that actually tastes like the beer i love, doesn't have oats (which are challenging for most gf folks), and of course, reminds me of the complete awesomeness of the widmer family. thank you!
Kati R from Pinedale, WY, Gluten-Free for 3 Years
OMG I'm in Heaven gluten free beer that tastes like good beer!!! I was a beer snob before finding out I had celiac's and that was the hardest thing to give up. I've tried many other Gluten free beers but nothing compares to Omission it's a little piece of heaven even if I have to travel 150 miles to get it it's so worth it. omission beer has no competition it is by far the best gluten free beer out there!!
Chris B from Littleton, CO, Gluten-Free for 8 Years
I have been celiac for 8, almost 9 years now. Out of all the new gluten free products coming out this is the most exciting gf product i have discovered. This beer is unbelievably amazing. I have heard about it for a while now and tonight was the first time i have seen it in a store around my location. Im so stoked to have been able to drink this and i hope you guys keep growing in popularity because your company can and will change the gluten free beer industry. I really appreciate what you guys have done for us celiac patients, and no questions asked, whenever its available to me your beer will always be my first choice!! Thank you so much
Nicole W from Anchorage, AK
I am thankful the gentleman behind the counter pouring growlers was slow that day. It left me plenty of time to read, browse, twiddle my thumbs. I'm supposed to be gluten free. I've found that if i indulge from time to time i'm okay, as long as its in balance. i love beer. love. not for the buzz, but the taste. i hadn't found a gluten free beer i loved yet. any way, I glance to my right and saw omission. it had a paragraph to read. i read it. i bought the beer. i love it!!!!! a gf beer with all the taste! Love at first taste! my boyfriend tried it and he doesn't have to drink gf but he'll drink omission. i've tried the pale & the lager. omission is a keeper in my books! now i can feel like i'm having my beer & my mostly gf diet. :)

I was visiting portland for the weekend and Went to PF Chang's for the Gluten free menu. The waitress recommended Omission, but I said I wanted a real beer while in portland and would deal with the symptoms. She was very insistent that that i try this beer that just came out because her customers loved it. I was skeptical, but now I'm soooo happy i found a good beer that i can drink anytime! So grateful for that waitress and this beer! Not to be greedy, but i'll be even happier if you ever make an ipa...
Karen Y from Wilmington, MA, Gluten-Free for 6 Years
I was visiting Eugene for business, and a waitress recommended Omission. I'm not too proud to say that I cried after my first sip because it was so good.
JB LAST INITIAL from City, WA, Gluten-Free for 2 Months
Recently went gluten free and discovered omission beers. It is by far the best “Gluten Free” beer I have tasted. The taste is exceptional - better than many non gluten free beers. hope it is soon is available 1/2 cases with some price savings!
Amber B from Bozeman, MT
Thank you for making a great tasting beer that I can enjoy even while being gluten free!
Doris J from Tualatin, ID, Gluten-Free for 6 Years
i was in the wilsonville freddies to find a bottle of the only gluten free beer i knew of (that was drinkable). I had to step in front of a man who had been in front of the case for several minutes. as i reached for the other beer, he gave a sales pitch for omission. tried it. **love** it!!! wish i knew who the person was -- i would say *thank you!!*
Melissa S from Kirkland, WA
I was browsing for a new beer to try & I saw these blue bottles with a big "O" on them. Something flavorful & light was on the menu, so I bought the 6-pack. Loved it. still didn't know what the "O" was for. Googled it and discovered it was Gluten Free beer. Doesn't matter. Still love it.
Brian M from Anchorage, AK, Gluten-Free for 3 Years
Finally! I have tried sorghum beers and could not stand the sweetness. I had switched to cider and the boys from humpy's let me know that widmer was making a gf beer. phenomenal is what i say. thank you all for returning hops to my beer palate.
peitsa from Richmond, CA, Gluten-Free for 6 Months
Recently found out that i was gluten intolerant, and have tried to find a gluten free ale with no success. i love a good ipa and there was nothing even approaching that out there until i tried omission pale ale. i had to get on the website to make sure it really was gluten free. Now if you could come out with a really hoppy ipa that would make me even happier than i am already. thanks!
Christopher H from Milwaukie, OR, Gluten-Free for 1 Year
I am a "gluten intolerant" individual and boy am i glad there is an alternative! Thanx so much for developing this special beer! Too bad it costs more, however. Party hardy!
Bob B from Spokane, WA, Gluten-Free for 2 Years
I was diagnosed with celiac disease 2 1/2 years ago and have tried numerous gluten free beers, all were failures as to providing a genuine lager beer taste. I thought it was going to be a difficult lifestyle to adjust to, but omission has made it bit easier and tastier. When i first tried omission lager i didn't think it was really gluten free and thought i was going to suffer. now i'm so happy to be able to enjoy a beer with friends at parties and game days watching football. thanks for making my life a little more enjoyable. i have had to ask several retailers to order and stock omission on their shelves, also telling them it's gluten free. the word is finally getting around spokane!!
Joe M from St louis, MO, Gluten-Free for 1 Year
Like many of the commenters I am a Huge beer snob that had to avoid gluten due to an autoimmune disease. After a year of bad sorghum beer my favorite bar in STL informed me of Omission. On the day they got it in My sister (same boat) and I went and enjoyed a night of great beer while watching my cubs lose to her sox (PIC). There's always 6 in my fridge. Thanks Omission! Joe
Sage V from Seattle, WA, Gluten-Free for 2 Months
On recommendation of the Whole food staff I tried the Omission IPA. It was amazing, with celiac I thought I was stuck with sorghum beer. now I know I can have great beer, and keep my GF lifestyle
Susan L from Lakewood, CO, Gluten-Free for 2 Years
I am a beer drinker. If you are familiar with Old Chicago, I am a Black card world beer tour member-14 tours, and a total Hop-head. Recently diagonosed as Gluten intolerant, I dispared of ever finding a worthy GF IPA. today, I discovered Omission! Please, please, keep hopping your beers!
Kevin H from South , NJ, Gluten-Free for 2 Months
I am very grateful for Ommission beer. I am a huuuuuuge beer snob, then got whacked with the news I have a gluten allergy. Well I guess it's better than Celiac, but suffice it to say I was really bummed! So my search started for non crap gluten free brews. I had all but given up, then ray of sunshine with a unicorn throwing up rainbows appeared in front of me. Ok a lil dramatic, but it absolutely made my day knowing this exists! Thank You, Kevin Hull
Terry from Mentor, TN, Gluten-Free for 1 Year
Went to winking Lizard today to watch the browns finally win! yea! anyway i had your beer and i cannot believe how great it tastes! one year off gluten free beer never tasted the same as a beer made with the forbidden ingredients. thank you for making a beer taste normal!
Pete B from Belgrade, MT, Gluten-Free for 8 Years
I haven't had a Pale Ale in over 7 years. Wow. Thanks. I've learned to like the other gf beers, more out of need, and of course there's always fermented cane juice and cactus squeezings, but there is something about the nice, crisp bite of 'beer' that you can't explain, unless you've gone without.
Deanna G from Silverdale, WA, Gluten-Free for 1 Year
I've found the eating gluten free often means cooking from sratch! How wonderful to have found a full bodied gluten free Beer!
L.E. W from Charm city, MD
My Husband being told he may have a gluten intolerance was a crisis for one reason alone- beer. He was a beer snob to begin with, so i thought it would be impossible to find a gluten free beer he would drink. Omission pale ale seemed like a miracle. i am not gluten free and would pick it over our staple sierra nevada any day of the week! we were driving an hour to buy it at first, and it was worth every mile and gas dollar!
Rosie from Washington, DC, Gluten-Free for 1 Year
Visited Portland Oregon in May and tasted Omission for the first time. Loved it. I gave up beer because the gluten free brands on the market were awful. I tried both the omission lager and pale ale and they are winners. happy to know I can finally buy at home and at the Ballpark!!
Eric B from Longmont, CO, Gluten-Free for 7 Years
I bwas diagnosed with Celiac seven yeaRS AGO AND SUBSEQUENTLY HAD TO DEVELOP A TASTE FOR PRETTY BAD BEER. tHERE HAVE BEN SOME GOOD ONES BUT UNTIL I GOT TURNED ON TO OMISSION, NONE HAVE BEEN GREAT. OMISSION IS PROBABLY THE BEST BEER IVE HAD INCLUDING WHAT I DRANK IN MY PRE-CELIAC DAYS. EVEN MY NORMAL BEER DRINKING FRIENDS (LIKE i REALLY HAVE ANY OF THOSE) THINK ITS REALLY GOOD! THANK YOU, THANK YOU. THANK YOU!
James F from Atlanta, GA, Gluten-Free for 4 Years
I have a pretty painful gluten intolerance and have "missed" Beer for the past 4 years. Omission beer is by far the best beer I have had yet!!! I am overwhelmed with joy and truly in luf (extreme passion for something) with your Pale ale. I Thank 8 lb, 10 oz, baby jesus for the wonderful creation you have blessed us, who have gluten issues, with, because I am sure we all have said at some point, how we have desired to taste such a delicious cold one!!!
Tyler H from Portland, OR, Gluten-Free for 2 Years
From my first omission at Gainey Ranch golf course in AZ to my 3rd, 4th and 5th during last night's debates, I've been amazed and thankful to be able to have a beer or two without a horrible feeling the rest of the night and the next day. I just thought I had really terrible hangovers before. Turns out, it was the Gluten. Thanks for making drinking enjoyable again.
kathy S from Wilmington, DE, Gluten-Free for 6 Months
Last Saturday I went to The Kennett Square Brew Fest in PA. I was There to socialize with a group of friends knowing that I would not be able to drink any beer (due to celiac). When I found out about omission and tasted it I was so so happy! I had not tasted a real beer since before January. I was overjoyed! Not only is it an awesome gluten free beer, it is an awesome Beer!! I would recommend it to anyone that loves delicious beer. I am so happy. I went to a local liquor store here (in Wilmington, Delaware) to order a some and they already had it in stock!!! I Bought a case! This is really so great. I hope that restaurants start carrying it so that I can have a beer when I go out. The other alternatives that I have experienced have been about a 2/10. Omission (both of them) are a 10/10!
Kim A from Sacramento, CA, Gluten-Free for 3 Years
I went to a music festival in Coloma, a small town about 45 miles from Sacramento (where gold was discovered!), and stayed at the American River Resort campground. The campground had a lodge where some amazing musicians played, plus a bar. I assumed there would be nothing there for me to drink and was so happy and surprised to find they stocked Omission pale ale! I love beer and have missed good beer since I went GF three years ago. I've tried every GF beer and omission is by far the best of all.
Kathleen F from Thomaston, CT, Gluten-Free for 2 Months
As a beer lover, being diagnosed with a wheat intolerance was heartbreaking! I shopped around for every gluten free beer I could find, but omission pale ale was clearly the most beer-like and tasty of all. I shared it with all my beer-loving friends and they too agreed that it tasted real! Thank you for bringing a delicious gf beer into my life--everyone needs a little hops sometime!
Rickey T from Rochelle , IL, Gluten-Free for 4 Months
Went gluten free 4 months ago. I have been searching for a gluten free alternative to the beer I was use to. I had to settle for ciders, which are ok, but not my thing. I tried some of the others on the market but they were quite frankly, gross. I finally found omission about 20 miles away last month. I was so excited, couldn't wait to get it home and try it. It was awesome. I love the ale & the lager. I hope my sources never dry up & eventually hope they sell it in my home town.
Alison M from Ithaca, NY, Gluten-Free for 3 Years
Though I can live without beer, every once in a while you just want something out of a brown glass bottle. I am amazed how much this tastes like 'real' beer, and that a company would go through the trouble to remove gluten. Great for Celiacs like me and 'glut-ards' (as my brother calls me) everywhere.
Lisa K from City, ME, Gluten-Free for 4 Years
WOW.....and I was just getting use to the idea of never ever enjoying another beer when you came into my life <3 I have been Gluten-free for the past 4 yrs tried the faux beers out there and would rather just refrain all together. after finding you, I Now feel like now I can enjoy a Craft beer like a normal person again...thank you OMISSION!!!
Cherie D from Bonita springs, FL, Gluten-Free for 1 Year
I thought I was going to have to give up the joy of having a beer when I found out that I was gluten intolerant. However, I did discover that there were a few gluten-free beers on the market. I think I tried all that are available. The very last one I tried was the Omission Lager and I wasn't expecting much. The mild taste and flavor was far removed from the bitter taste I had come to expect and I had just about resigned myself to the fact that I was going to have to give up beer for the rest of my life. Wow!! What a surprise the Omission Lager was!! I found that Omission is a bit more expensive than traditional beer but after some thought, I realized that brewing something of this quality didn't just happen on its own. I knew someone had put a lot of time and effort into it's perfection. My sister took the picture below when we visited Branson, MO. After it was developed, she sent it to me with the caption: "The only thing missing is a beer sitting in front of the both of you!" I have taken this one step further to say, "The only omission is an Omission."
Stephen F from York, PA, Gluten-Free for 11 Years
I was diagnosed with celiacs 11 years ago. I have had plenty of time to get used to the diet and have tried many types of gluten free beer from all over the world. Omission is by far the best beer i am able to drink. I am so glad i have found it in central PA! it is certainly nice to have omission lager for football season, too. Thanks guys, keep it up!
Carrie from City, OH, Gluten-Free for 6 Years
I hadn't ever had beer before I had to start my gluten free diet, so I never really knew what beer was supposed to taste like. Omission is by far the best tasting beer I have ever had. I run all my beers past my non-gluten free boyfriend, and he loves the pale ale as much as he loves any regular beer. It is so great to have finally found a beer we can share. Thank you so much.
sheri T from Rochester, NY, Gluten-Free for 1 Year
i am very new to following a gluten free diet. one of my main concerns, was "i can't drink beer?!" after testing out a few gluten free beers, i can say that hands down, omission are the absolute best! i love both the lager and the pale ale. thank you omission for making gluten free beer that truly tastes like beer! I will recommend you to anyone i know that is looking for a great tasting gluten free beer. :)
Brighton H from Houston, TX, Gluten-Free for 3 Months
Some of my friends brew as a hobby and have received recognition in contests. We used to go to brewpubs together and beer was a pillar of evening gatherings. Fast-forward a couple years and a gluten-intolerance diagnosis and the pickings were slim...depressingly slim. Then I found omission and my local grocery agreed to carry it (Thanks HEB!). Omission tastes like the beer I was used to, like craft beer. The pale ale is phenomenal--lager's good too--and i no longer have to settle for the voldemort of gluten-free beers (must not be named).
Christi S from Carlsbad, CA, Gluten-Free for 3 Days

Thank you..................In June my 28 year old daughter Megan was diagnosed with Celiac Sprue disease. The doctor asked her why she was crying.................She didn't have the heart to tell him that she was going to miss her beer. That day she read "Gluten-free omission Beer Rolling out nation wide today! Megan talked the liquor store owner in Del MAr CA to order the omssion...he agreed only if she bought the case since his other gluten free beers sit in the fridge for months..............Her birthday party in the park was in August...........That was the day she "rolled out Gluten-free omission beer" to everyone!
amber B from Portland , OR, Gluten-Free for 3 Months
Thank you for making a great tasting beer that I can actually enjoy!
Julie D from Eielson afb, AK, Gluten-Free for 1 Month
My husband and I always enjoyed going to the local Breweries in Omaha. When we traveled, we always look for a local place to try the micro brews...then I was diagnosed with Celiacs and all that stopped. We were in the process of moving to Fairbanks, AK. It was a much smaller place than we had ever lived before, with less access to GF food. I had heard about Omission in the Gluten Free Living magazine and checked it out online. I sent in my email and was so excited to get an emailback saying that it was available in Fairbanks, AK! Tonight my AMAZING husband came home with the pale ale!!!! Fantastic!!!! KUDOS!!!! Great job!!!! This is the first time I dont want to cheat...Cant wait to try the lager!!!!
Rayna S from The dalles, OR, Gluten-Free for 10 Years
Thank you thank you thank you! omission is by far ,the absolute best GF beer out there. i personally appreciate the attention to deliciousness! you guys are the best !
Jenn Cloud C from St. louis, MO, Gluten-Free for 3 Years
oh. ohhh...there were no actual words to describe having my first omission beer, it's true that only one letter moaned through agape lips was possible...i had just read about this beer via a local beer blogger when my husband completely accidentally happened upon it at our favorite little liquor store. he came home and told me he had just earned the best husband ever award and uh, yeah, was he right! I haven't had a beer that tasted like a beer in about 3 years now and this summer i regained one of my very favorite things i had to give up as a result of going gluten free. beer, pizza and pastries hurt me the worst to see go but thanks to omission i have the beer part back and don't feel like i'm missing anything! (...besides pumpkin beer. are you guys planning to make a pumpkin beer? that would end me for sure!)
Frank R from New york, NY, Gluten-Free for 4 Years
Finally a GREAT tasting Gluten Free Beer thats good for my tastebuds as well as my Digestive System
Bret M from Vancouver, WA, Gluten-Free for 2 Years
When I began my gluten free diet, I didn't think I would miss beer too much. Boy, was I wrong! I tried switching my drink of choice to vodka and wine, but neither were as refreshing as an ice cold brew. So I tried some gluten free beers: sorghum beer gave me a rash, honey beer seemed sour, hard cider was too similar to wine, and the fruity ones were just too sweet. Then a friend of mine gave me a six-pack each of Omission Lager and Omission Pale. I was skeptical to say the least, but I really enjoyed both and had no physical side effects! I was shocked. I sent him a text to thank him for bringing beer back into my life. I even got a bit teary eyed while typing this. I am so grateful that Omission makes a beer I can drink safely within my diet, and I truly enjoy it. Even my wife has switched to Omission because she likes the flavor more than other beers, and she's not on a restricted diet. I have been enjoying Omission Lager on my patio after work with my wife for the past two months. When it starts to rain, I will move indoors and definitely be bringing Omission with me.
